Here’s to the weirdoes, the oddballs, the visionaries, the renegades, the free thinkers, the die-hard believers, the fatal optimists, the square pegs stuck in a world full of round holes who would rather die building a world that fits them than even think of conforming to someone else’s conception of reality. Here’s to the ones who will listen to talk of the impossible, put down their beer, and say “watch this”. In a world full of fear, they are a fresh breath of change, of new ideas, and of other realities. They are educated, but seem to have forgotten all the parts about rules and false boundaries. They’ll defy gravity, fly free through space, and come back to Earth with even more visions of what is actually possible for the human species. They will challenge convention just for the sake of challenging it and proving worthless all of our blind assumptions when matched against human desire and human ingenuity.
Our world has been built not on the backs of those who try to view it for what it is, but on those who tell the naysayers to fuck themselves and create the world that can be. While there are far too few of us in this society, there are still certainly enough to make some crazy things happen. Although challenging what has been set before our eyes since birth requires a small degree of insanity, the willingness to dream and then create is perhaps the most audaciously insane of human endeavors.
So as I’m stuck here in a society and culture full of conformity, here’s to those who will forever rock the boat. Each of us will change the world in our own, unique and individual way. And in time, maybe a few of us can even come together and turn something really big into Earth-shattering reality. If human beings have learned to fly…what the fuck could be impossible…
Fly free forever brothers and sisters…if any of us make it another 5 years or so on this planet, expect some truly fucked up crazy shit to come out of our collective efforts and the realization of our dreams. I’ll be drinking several near beers for you all this week. Keep living every moment in this life like you stole it and never give up the unique awesomeness that makes you who you are…We’ll catch up someday on the back end…
